The prince kept coming, and it seemed to be for no reason other than to annoy Nali. “Can you tell me why you’re here?” he said the next time Fin came. He said nothing, which made Nali think there was no answer. He was surprised when Fin spoke up. “Because you are interesting.” “.......What.” “You have told me some things, though you might not have realized it.” “.....Why though?” “Because it is fun trying to understand you, when you are so reluctant to admit anything. Like I noticed that you have no armour, but you have the vampire crest on your sweater. It looks like it’s in better condition than others’, so that leads me to believe that you came from somewhere in the castle.” Nali said nothing, but he was nervous about how close Fin was to the truth. The Queen never brought him anywhere, he had to stay in the castle and watch Nora, which explained why no one recognized him. He did go to a negotiation with the Elven Royals, once. That’s when he saw Prince Fin and his siblings. He never had anything to do, so he did research on them, and figured out that the Queen had died due to porphyria, aka the ‘vampire disease’. Some of the symptoms for it are shrunken gums, making your teeth look more prominent, almost fang-like, and highly sensitive skin that blisters in the sunlight, much like vampires, and reddish-brown urine, as if you have been drinking blood. Actually, ingesting blood can relieve some of the symptoms. And that’s what I do instead of having friends, though I doubt Mother would let me have any. “So… was I right?” Fin interrupted Nali’s train of thought. He didn’t say anything. Fin started celebrating his victory, though Nali hadn’t confirmed or denied anything. “You know, you look a lot like that princess that your queen is always parading about.” “So what?” Nali snapped. “She has a twin, right? Are you… the Vampire Prince?”
