When Fin walked into the dungeon, he didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary. His father had told him to visit the dungeons to see if there are any that they should not trade in for their most powerful general, and Fin’s aunt. The king was too busy to go to the dungeon, and when Fin asked him to send someone else, he said; ‘I’m running a kingdom here, I don’t have time to play with children!’ Fin doubted he was listening. When he got to the dungeon with the freaky guard, he looked around and didn’t notice anything different. As usual, the vampires’ grey tinted skin spooked him, but also strangely interested him.“Centurion Myers and Idolon,” He said, with his slight english accent. “Come with me.” They looked scared. “Don’t worry, I’m just taking you to reinforced cells.” That might’ve scared them even more. Oops. That’s when he noticed the newbie. He looked faintly familiar, though Fin couldn’t place it. Strange, that he was wearing a sweater, rather than armour. Who could he be? He walked over to the cell. He had a strange feeling that this newcomer was important. “You, too.” He said. *** The next morning, Fin went down to the dungeons, not because his father told him to, but because he wanted to see the new guy. They were similar to the other dungeons, just slightly less cold and damp, and with a small, barred window in each cell. When he got there, the guy looked surprised to see him. And afraid. Fin paid closer attention to his outfit. It was simple, yet concise. All black with the vampire crest: a red crown with dragon wings on each side. “So… what’s your name?” Fin asked. They boy mumbled something. “I’m sorry, what was that?” He mumbled the same thing, slightly louder. “Again?” “Nali,” he said. Like before, it sounded faintly familiar, but Fin couldn’t place it. “Alright, Nali, I’m-” Nali interrupted. “I know who you are.” “You do?” “You’re the elf prince, Finly.” “Uh… just Fin, please.” He was pleasantly surprised, as no one really knew him, as he had three sisters and two brothers and was mostly overshadowed by the king. “Why are you here again?” Nali asked. “Uh……….” Fin had no answer for this. “I feel like I know you, but I can’t quite place it. Wanna help?” “Leave me alone.” “Please?” “No.” “Please?” “Go away.” “Why?” “Because you’re annoying.” “Why?” “You’re just proving my point.” “Why?” After a while of this, Nali just started ignoring him. But Fin just kept coming. Every. Single. Day.
